Tina Holmes is turning into a great characters actress. I remember her most from Six Feet Under. It's really a testament to her talent that we don't write her off immediately. You really get a sense that she's operating from fear and not malice.

Thank you so much! It was after a ... few ... viewings that I started to notice the color red creeping quietly up on Zach and then Shaun shows up at the beach wearing red all over and that was it. Every time after that I watched the beginning of the film with a such a sense of anticipation for Zach with red signaling something (love) was on the way.

I really enjoyed your PicSpam! I too love the red thing going on, and the atmosphere of San Pedro bay and Zach's street art. I could watch the movie just for that! Re: red, I can't look over your chronicle again right now because I am on dial up, but did you mention the red wine in that great scene in the castle kitchen when Zach and Cody come over? I love that scene anyway, because Zach is realizing he has stumbled on the first other man besides himself who gives Cody the time of day, and then some! He looks almost shocked at the warmth Shaun dishes out. Anyway, the "what are you drinking?" "RED!" fits right in! Thanks for the chronicle and the community!

Oh, the red wine is a wonderful catch. I also missed how Shaun, at the end of the movie, is wearing Zach's red trunks from the sandcastle scene. It's amazing that even after I've watched this film so many time that it's still possible to discover something new about it.

The kitchen scene seems to really put Shaun a new light for Zach. Not only has he been invited over for just his company but Shaun and Cody are obviously connecting - something, as you point out, that Zach hasn't experienced with anyone else.

I'm working (slowly) on a Shaun centric prequel. Shelter is so much Zach's story but I so want to explore Shaun and where he's coming from.
