Sign-ups are still open for this years Holiday Fest, which is in a gift exchange format. Sadly, at this point only two people have signed up. If we don't get a few more people signed up by the end of the weekend (midnight Sunday, December 9th), then I'm sorry to say that I'm going to have to cancel the Holiday Fest. Two people are just not enough for something like this.

As I mentioned earlier this year, we’re going to change things up a little bit and make this year’s Holiday Fest a true gift giving experience. Instead of submitting a bunch of prompts that people then fill, we’ll be doing this more along the lines of the individual gifting memes I’ve seen floating around come holiday time.

The basic premise is that you will request a gift, and someone else will (hopefully) fill that request.

More specifically, everyone who wants to participate in the Holiday Fest will comment to the Gift Exchange – Requests post with the Gift Request Form (provided in the text box in that post) detailing up to five Shelter-related “gifts” that they’d like to receive. Someone else will fill one of those requests.

Rules:

~You may request up to five gifts. Please note that, while you need not fill in all five gift request slots, the more gifts you request, the more likely one of them will catch someone’s interest.

~All gift requests must be Shelter-related, but for this round do not need to be Zach/Shaun-centric.

~You may fill as many gift requests as you are inspired to do so.

~You may fill a gift request that has already been filled, but we would love it if everyone who requests is able to receive at least one fill.

~You did not have to submit a gift request in order to qualify to fill someone else’s gift request, because sharing the Shelter love without asking anything in return is awesome sauce.

~You must fill at least one gift request if you submitted a gift request of your own. No asking for gifts without giving a gift in return.

~You may submit a gift request through December 31, 2012. (But please note that the later you request, the less likely you are to get a fill.)

~You may start working on your fill(s) as soon as you see a gift request that catches your eye, but please don’t post them until the gift-giving period, which will run the three weeks from Monday December 17, 2012 through Sunday, January 6, 2013.

~You may post your fills wherever you normally post your fanworks, but you should post an announcement here in the community, as well as a reply to the gift request comment with a link to the fill.

~Please include the name of the giftee and the request you are filling in your header.

~If you’re posting graphics/fanmix/etc, please note which (if any) of them are not shareable with all members of the community.
