shelter_diner | Shelter Community Re-Watch Schedule

There appeared to be some interest in setting up a regular re-watch schedule so that we can squee on a regular basis over this wonderful movie with other people who know just how amazing it is. And in my case, to remind myself why it was I fell in love with this movie in the first place. I tend to remember the overall feel of the movie, but sometimes I need to be reminded of the details.

If the recent film and commentary re-watches we hosted are any indication, the re-watches are going to be awesome!

Our task now is to determine that schedule.

My first thought was that we hold the re-watches on a monthly schedule, alternating days/times so that everyone has an opportunity to join us, and then maybe add in a commentary re-watch. Something like this:

Month 1, weekday afternoon
Month 2, weekend
Month 3, weekday evening/night
Month 4, commentary
Month 5, weekday afternoon
etc

Once a month might sound like a lot, and I certainly don’t want us getting tired of the re-watches, but keep in mind that based on everyone’s schedule, you might only be able to join us one time in three. (And we’ll also alternate days/times for each commentary re-watch as it pops up on our schedule so that everyone has an opportunity to re-watch the commentary with us, as well.)

Or we could do quarterly re-watches, again alternating days/times. Something like this:

Quarter 1, weekday afternoon
Quarter 2, weekend
Quarter 3, weekday evening/night
Quarter 4, commentary

Again, keep in mind that this schedule means that you might only be able to join us once a ~year.

Or we could hold the re-watches on some other schedule that someone else comes up with that splits the difference.
