I came across a couple articles thanks to the good people at EnnisJack.com. The first one is from Out.com and features first and foremost a breathtaking photo of Trevor Wright and Brad Rowe that I like to think of as Zach and Shaun's wedding photo. Love all the points of contact Trevor makes - foot, knee, elbow (!) - despite the fact that Brad has his back to him. I also love Trevor's quote at the end in regards to acting in the intimate scenes: “I saw his eyes, and they were Brad’s, and that was that.” Sweet ... The second article is a somewhat snotty review from Slant Magazine of the DVD but the good news is that it does have some extras such as a commentary track with Jonah Markowitz, Trevor Wright and a chatty Brad Rowe.

The links for all of the above have been added to the Link list. Enjoy!

ETA: Out.com has removed the pictured I referred to so I'm going to post it here. It's too sweet to keep hidden away.

OK, first? The picture? I ADORE.

Trevor's quote at the end in regards to acting in the intimate scenes: “I saw his eyes, and they were Brad’s, and that was that.”

That has got to be the sweetest thing I've ever read. :D

And I'd been iffy about when I was going to actually get the DVD, but now? Good Lord. Chatty Brad? Trevor? And Jonah? Oh yes, you know I have to have it now. I think the Chatty Brad clinches it for me. :D

It also goes a long way towards explaining the wealth of intimacy between Zach and Shaun. Trevor and Brad obviously shared a similar connection and felt very ... safe (for lack of a better word) playing that out.

It really does. I mean, it's one thing to know they are good friends and stuff, but to see something as completely undeniable as that? Just makes it so very sweet.

And safe sums it up pretty damn well.

Oh definitely getting the DVD. It's just a matter of when. I'm not sure anyone around here is going to carry it so it depends on when I can get it ordered. AGRH

Oh don't I love Slant Magazine's review. Not because it's an awesome review or anything, but mostly because what they dislike about it, are the parts I (and everyone else) love.

I'm pretty sure they just wanted less clothes or waaay more dramatic angsty Hollywood-ness so clearly they can just be ignored.
They clearly cannot understand the joys of subtlety. More's the pity for them.

And Trevor's friggin adorable in that first picture - (Weird how Brad is totally turned away though...)

I just ADORE that Out.com article and the pic is to die for....and did someone mention ..... WEDDING PHOTO?...... hmmm I think they did!! ( I hope lots of fic writers took note of that observation.... hehe )

My dvd is in the post apparently..but it's got to come to England from USA.... so I still have to wait. sob, sob. I want to hear that commentary so bad I can taste it.

I so agree with you all about the happy ending too. I wanted that so badly and loved it SO much that we actually got it. That is EXACTLY the reason I love this film so much. It's sweet, tender and BEAUTIFUL.

Wow... that pic on the bike is just... wow... no words to describe it... maybe beautiful, but that just doesnt convey how HOT that is!

Ive read that first article before, and I love that line you quoted. I think that's why the movie was as good as it was- they made a connection and they were able to use that connection when filming.

Love it. thanks for the post

Hey, baby!! Glad you read those articles!!! They are awesome, right?

Can you believe I said the same thing as you when I saw that pic? Yeah, you can read it at Ennisjack. I said (and I think another Shelter girl too) that it looks that their wedding pic!! Oh my, I think I'm gonna cry!! That's so gorgeous, and they are there so sexy and marvelous!! **sigh**

I love Trevor's words about the intimate scenes. I just melted away first time I read it. He's so mature in his words but so sweet too.

Eileen, love your new avatar!! It's from my loved Lazy Days. You know what? I said over and over again in the forum that that is my favorite scene, just the one in your avatar. Zach kissing Shaun's chest, then Shaun's ear and then his neck. And then he rested his head in the hollow of Shaun's neck....Oh my...That's so erotic and sweet!! I'm so swooning...I'm a happy puddle in the floor!!! Image (http://mabul.org)Image (http://mabul.org)

Love yor page, baby. Thank you so much!! Image (http://mabul.org)

When I click on the link all I get is the article, no picture. If anyone has that pic saved, can you post it? I'd love to see it....

Thank you for sharing that picture! It's wonderful, and I definitely see what you mean about it being Shaun and Zack's "wedding photo." :)
