Angst vs Schmoop Challenge: Round One – Call for Teams!

Welcome to our first round of the Shelter Angst vs Schmoop Challenge! Please read the Rules Post before you sign up.

If you’d like to play this round, comment here and tell me which team you’d like to write for, Team Angst or Team Schmoop.

~We need at least 6 people to sign up, 3 for each team, but we’ll take more than that if we can get them! We’ll also need pinch-hitters, so you can sign up for that, instead, if you like.

~Teams will be created on a first-come, first-served basis. That means, if we get 10 people who want to write for Team Schmoop and only 5 willing to write for Team Angst, and no one wants to switch over, we’ll be cutting off the teams at the first 5 people to respond for each team.

~Sign-ups will be open through midnight Saturday, August 6th. (Depending on how many people sign up, fic will most likely be due the last week of August, beginning Monday, August 29. If more people sign up, then we’ll start a day or so earlier. If you will not be able to post AT ALL during that time period, please do not sign up.)

Posting Rule Reminder: Unless you have requested an emergency extension beforehand, you must post your fic on the day it is due. Part of the challenge is meeting that deadline. If you do not post your fic on the day assigned, you will not be eligible to participate in the next round. (Please note that the time stamp on your post/announcement here at shelter_diner will be used when determining whether a fic has been posted on the day it is due.)

Don't hate yourself! A fic can have angst without being dark or having a unhappy ending. In fact, I was just thinking that I should mention it, since we probably all have the same problem of wanting to see our boys happily every after. This fandom isn't too much for the angst, thankfully, though in this case we need some. *g*

what no, I have no problem doing the angst. I'm totally cool with death fics or breakup fics. it was more I just got done with a Big Bang and I had promised myself I wasn't going to join any new writing things this summer.
