Meta...and a question.

OK, I'm gonna meta here for a second.

So I'm writing a fic and there's a part where Zach has to go meet the dean of students at Cal Arts, and while i was writing this part i realized, nobody has a last name. I searched the credit's and the movie and no one has a last name. So, my dilemma, what should i do for that part. I don't see a dean of a college using "Zach" when addressing him(at least my advisers and dean's didn't). I'm stumped.

well if the movie didn't give one and neither did the anyone else that worked with/on the movie I've seen two different things done, you the actors name, like Chuck on SG:A or make up your own

In the commentary they said they couldn't come up with a last name for Zach, but Shaun's is Andrews.

I watched Shelter again last night and thought about the last name thing. Maybe because his tattoo on his shoulder has a T on it they just left off the last name so the T wouldn't be weird.

Actually, they said in the commentary that the 'T' on his arm was for Tori. They also mentioned making Trevor use several different last names in that 'dean' scene, but they never actually aired any of them, so... *g*

Ya, I thought they just said that in a joking kinda way. Like "Haha, ya, the t was for tori, it was a mistake." I don't think they were serious. Oh, well. I'm already commited to a last name with a "t".

I didn't get the impression they were joking in the commentary. I thought it was a 'mistake' because Zach was no longer with Tori, plus they said he'd have to turn the 'T' into an 'S'.

Also, just my opinion, but I don't see Zach as the type of person who would get his own initial tattooed on his arm. He just doesn't have the . . . braggadocio necessary for that. He's more about taking care of other people and NOT tooting his own horn, as in the scene with Shaun looking at his portfolio and Zach's comment that he doesn't let anyone look at it.
