Title: A Little Bit More
Author: [livejournal.com profile] frogy
Rating: PG
Word Count: ~4,000
Author's Note: I meant to finish this by Christmas, because it always bothers me when people post Christmas fic after Christmas. That clearly didn't happen. I hope you are more forgiving of that than I am. Thank you [livejournal.com profile] pjvilar for the most awesome beta. Any remaining mistakes are all mine. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] pjvilar and [livejournal.com profile] riadsala for reminding me their was a presidential election in 1996, even though that fact never made it into the fic.

Summary/Prompt: Cody inspires Shaun to connect with Larry during the holidays.

(Shaun is sprawled on the couch, feet kicked up on the coffee table, watching who Zach has sadly come to recognize as a Kardashian sister on the TV when he gets home from his Monday night class.)

ETA: Mods, I think I messed up the tags on this and can't figure out how to fix them /o\

You may still claim a prompt (or two) for our Holiday Fest 2010!

Fic are due at the end of the month, so you have a couple weeks to write.

Check out the prompts at the Prompt Claims Post and comment there if you'd like to claim one.

The prompts are in, now it’s time to get creative!

All types of fannish creations (fic, graphics, vids) are welcome; just comment here to claim a prompt (or two). You may claim as many prompts as you like, more than one person may claim each prompt, and you may claim your own prompt. There is no length requirement.

So that you can find it again, this post will be tagged {challenge} holiday fest 2010.

Submissions will be due at the end of December, during the period from December 25 - December 31. Don’t post them before then; these are holiday gifts to each other/the fandom. (If you’re going to be out of town for the holidays and need to post your fic before the official posting period opens, please contact me.)

I guess that’s it for the rules; on to the prompts.

Happy writing! *g*

Don't forget to head on over here to submit your prompts. You have through this Saturday, November 20 to get 'em in!

I’m happy to say that it looks like we have some interest in holding another Holiday Fest, so yay for that! And the consensus appears to be that we should stick with the Holiday/Winter Season theme.

Now it’s time to hit us with your prompts. We’ll take general (word or phrase) or more specific (scenario) prompts. The only requirement is that your prompt must have something to do with the holiday/winter season.

I’ll get us started with a few prompts so you can see what I mean:

Eggnog
Mistletoe
Sleigh Ride
Snowed In

Cody comes home from college for the holidays.
Their first Christmas together as a family.
Zach makes a New Year’s resolution.
Zach remembers a Christmas when his mom was still alive.

Now it’s your turn! Comment here with your holiday/winter themed prompts, and I’ll collect them all in one list for claiming. You may submit prompts for the next week and a half, through next Saturday, November 20. I’ll post the complete list of prompts to the comm by November 21. Fic/graphics/etc will be due the last week of December, so December 25-December 31. That'll give you just under 6 weeks to create your submission. (If you’re going to be out of town for the holidays and need to post your fic before the official posting period opens, please contact me.)

Please remember that you will be able to write fic, create graphics, etc, so keep that in mind, also, when you submit your prompts.

You will not be required to claim a prompt in order to submit a prompt, nor do you have to submit a prompt to claim a prompt, and you may claim your own prompt. Whew!

There is no limit on the number of prompts you may submit. However, if you come back at a later time to submit more prompts, please do so in a new comment to this post rather than in a reply to your previous comment. This makes it easier for me to make sure I don't miss any.

Okay, now you guys say something! *g*
